Campaign Details:
This campaign was launched on November 30, 2007. It is led by The Real Estate Fraud Advisory Team (R.E.F.A.T.), a partnership of Realtors® and the county Attorney General’s office, along with lenders, nonprofits, and government agencies. Outreach and education activities are extended to everyone in Ventura County, with special emphasis on the more vulnerable. Several media outlets have donated advertising, and prominent local officials have volunteered to serve as spokespersons. Callers call the local 211 hotline and are referred to participating counseling agencies.
