Campaign Details: The Mortgage and Credit Center is the lead agency for the Orlando area campaign. They take all phone calls and then refer consumers to partners as appropriate. Counseling agencies provide individual counseling sessions for consumers and provide feedback to the coalition about predatory lending practices that are occurring in Central Florida. This information will be shared with all of the alliance members and will be incorporated into the education program. Educational service providers provide group education sessions on how to avoid predatory financing problems. Outreach includes public service advertising, the local government television station, paid advertising, bus ads, print literature and a website. They also created website portal that will allow all the agencies to share information and summarize activities.
