Campaign Details:
El Paso Housing Finance Corporation is the lead organization for the El Paso campaign, which launched on September 20 2007. Outreach includes PSAs, ads in community newspapers, radio ads, brochures and mailings. With the expansion of a local military base, the campaign will make an effort to educate military personnel and their families about the dangers of predatory lending.
In addition to outreach, education and counseling the Don’t Borrow Trouble El Paso campaign is working to explore the ways in which new loan products could be developed or similarly, how present loan products available in the area could be enhanced to better meet the needs of area residents.
