How to Get Help: (937) 222-9671
Campaign Details:
The Dayton campaign was launched in September 2001. Most callers are assisted directly by the Miami Valley Fair Housing Center, the lead organization. They are referred to partner agencies as necessary. The campaign also uses a web-based tracking system that provides data on individual loans and automatically calculates whether a loan has violated the law. They use a grassroots marketing strategy, distributing brochures and other materials through local social service agencies, homebuyer education programs, senior centers, and neighborhood development groups. One innovative component of their outreach is a trolley full of volunteers that visits targeted neighborhoods and distributes information. They are also doing paid advertising.
