Campaign Details: The Buffalo campaign was launched on April 12, 2002. The campaign uses a combination of paid advertising and grassroots outreach to raise awareness among consumers. They have conducted predatory lending education seminars for appraisers and realtors, as well as counselors. The Buffalo campaign receives 12-17 calls per day, and as many as 20-30 during times of heavy media outreach. The Buffalo Urban League staffs the hotline and provides counseling and legal assistance to consumers in need of help.
