Campaign Details:
The campaign was launched on October 25, 2006. The lead agency is Pima County Community Development and Neighborhood Conservation Department.
The Pima County Don't Borrow Trouble campaign targets all of Pima County, with particular emphasis on minorities, the elderly and low-income individuals. The anti-predatory lending coalition hopes to reach out to these populations to reduce their disproportionate chance of being involved in a predatory loan. Outreach methods include brochures, television PSAs, posters and community meetings. Callers will receive assistance as needed, and the campaign makes use of a variety of financing and education programs.
